Jilin and Hong Kong launch exchange program

Jilin province and Hong Kong launched a youth exchange program on Dec. 27, in Jilin University.

Yang Zhenbin, chief of the Communist Party of China committee of Jilin University, Bing Zheng, vice president of Jilin University, Yang Andi, director of the Jilin Tourism Development Commission, Zhang Yuduo, deputy director of Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Jilin province, Zhang Shubin, director of Information Office of Jilin province, and representatives of Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group attended the launching ceremony.




A group of Hong Kong youths participated in the activity and began a visit to Jilin province. 143 Hong Kong students intended to learn more about the transformation and reconstruction of the old industrial base.

During the six-day visit they had a close look at Chang Guang Satellite Technology, high speed trains and railway manufacturer CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles and Aviation University Air Force which focuses on cultivating flight controllers and aerospace engineering talents. They also experienced promotion and inheritance of Jilin's local culture.

The activity was sponsored by the Jilin Tourism Development Commission, Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group, the Future Star Federation of Student, Jilin University and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Jilin province.


The Future Star Federation of Student is a non-governmental organization for young people initiated in 2005 by Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group to help young people in Hong Kong learn more about all aspects of the development of the Chinese mainland such as economics, political strategy, education and technology.
