Jilin launches tourism statistical training program

Jilin province hosted tourism statistical training seminar in Changchun, the provincial capital city, on Dec. 21. 

Two-day training program summarized the provincial tourism statistical work in 2017, analyzed existing problems, emphasized discipline, standardized wording procedures and specified next goals.

Chen Shoujun, deputy director of the Jilin Province Tourism Development Commission, addressed the meeting. Chen said with transformation and upgrading of tourism, new industries as well as new forms and models of business are flourishing. With the development of the situation, there appear some new issues. Therefore, tourism statistical data became even more needful, Chen added.

The reform and development of tourism statistical work should be accelerated with the transformation of tourism into a pillar industry to monitor trends and pattern of tourism development, and guide the long-term, healthy and steady development of tourism.  

Chen said the seminar aimed to strengthen and perfect the tourism statistical work, have ability to take on various tasks and produce high quality results and meet demand for the provincial digital evaluation, standard construction, and smart management.
