Jilin to enhance cooperation with Beijing

A seminar involving Beijing and Jilin province and their cooperation was held in Beijing on March 1.

The Framework Agreement on Cooperation was signed between Beijing and Jilin. Entrepreneurial representatives from the province shared their views and wishes regarding business cooperation at the meeting.

Tourism industries of Jilin and Beijing will expand cooperative channels and areas and learn from each other through common share of resources, jointly creating a brand, and exploring markets. Travel agencies and scenic areas of the two provinces were encouraged to join hands to achieve win-win results.

The two sides will rely on the principles including equality, magnanimity, learning and borrowing from each other and common share of resources in future cooperation and achieve the goals of mutual supplement with each other's advantages and mutual benefit.

Beijing and Jilin will make good use of tourist resources and an overall planning so as to develop classic tourist products with unique cultural flavors. 

The two sides will strengthen regulatory cooperation of the tourism market, because the market supervision is an important component of sound development of tourism industry.

Moreover, two sides will optimize the tourism environment, establish mechanism of mutual supervision, regional joint cooperation, information sharing, and rescue operation. 

Representatives offered suggestions to explore innovative form of tourism promotion, expand marketing channels and attract more visitors. 

Ice and snow tourism and development as a summer resort are being concentrated in Jilin. In order to make good use of its unique ice and snow resources, the province has developed many winter tourism products featuring ice and snow activities, rime scenery, hot spring, winter fishing and folk customs.
