Shuangyang Ice Karst Cave Scenic Area lies in Shanhe town of Shuangyang District, 78 kilometers from the center of Changchun.

Located in the extension of Changbai Mountain, the scenic area has a total area of 4,785 hectares. More than 300 types of trees and nearly 100 types of birds exist in this wooded area with crisscrossed ravines and jagged rocks.

The forest coverage is 3,500 hectares, making the scenic area a natural green oxygen bar. An underground ice waterfall was found in 2007, 82 meters underground. The upper layer of the cave is snow and the lower is ice , both of which don’t melt in all seasons, a rare view in the world. The stalactites in the karst cave are geological wonders formed over a course of hundreds of millions of years and keep track of the details of historic changes and the earth's crust changes.
