Transportation in Jilin City

 

Flight

The Longjia Airport, in the Longjia Town of Jiutai City in the northwest of Jilin City, sits in the middle of the Jilin-Changchun Highway, and is 62 km from the downtown. It is a main domestic airport. There are more than 20 domestic and international routes to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Changsha, Yanji, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Dalian, Yiwu, Qingdao, Nanjing, Xiamen, Jinan, Chengdu, Fuzhou, Xi’an, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Wuhan, Kunming, Zhengzhou, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, Sendai and Nagoya. The airport shuttle offers 20 shifts every day to and from the airport. Meanwhile, after the Jilin-Changchun inter-city railway was put into operation, there are more than 10 motor trains starting off from Jilin Station and stopping by the Longjia Station, a trip taking only 21 minutes.

Railway

The Jilin Railway Station is located at the intersection of Changchun-Tumenjiang, Shenyang-Jilin and Jilin-Shulan railways, which connect Jilin with Changchun, Shenyang and Harbin, the three capital cities in northeast China. There are also trains starting off from Jilin to Beijing, Tianjin, Qiqihar, Ningbo and Dalian. After the Jilin-Changchun inter-city railway was put into operation, the motor trains from Jilin, passing by Changchun, can go to Beijing, Shenyang and Harbin. There is one motor train group between Jilin and Beijing, two groups between Jilin and Shenyang, one group between Jilin and Harbin, and 16 groups between Jilin and Changchun.

Highway

The main highways and roads in Jilin are the No.202 State Road (north to south), No.302 State Road (east to west), the Changchun-Jilin Highway and the Jilin-Yanji Highway. A network structure has initially taken shape with the Heilongjiang-Dalian and Huichun-Ulanhot State roads and the Wuhua, Yujiang and Changji North provincial roads as the framework. There are 3,816 roads in the city, of which two are State roads, seven are provincial roads, 27 are county rods, 571 are town roads, 136 are specialized roads and 3,075 are village roads. The total length of the roads is 14,524.53 km.

Bus

Taxi

There are more than 7,000 taxis in Jilin. The rate starts from 5 yuan, which includes 2.5 km, with increment of 1.8 yuan each km afterwards and an additional one yuan for fuel charge per ride. Contact number for taxi: 0432-62035861 62069110

Special tourist bus

1. Hada Home Furnishing-Songhua Lake Line: No.33 Special Tourist Bus goes to the Songhua Lake Scenic Spot directly. The first bus starts at 6:00 am and the last starts at 7:00 pm. Bus fare is three yuan. Tourists can appreciate the scenes along the way.

2. Jilin Railway Station-Beida Lake Line: One bus everyday which starts off from the Jilin Railway Station at 8:30 am and returns from the Beida Lake at 15:30. The single trip fare is 10 yuan.

3. Jilin Railway Station-Shengde Fountain Line: One bus everyday which starts off from the Jilin Railway Station at 9:00 am and returns from the Shengde Fountain at 15:00. The single trip fare is six yuan.
