Henan Street in Jilin

Henan (river south) Street, a centuries-old commercial street, is located on the southern side of the small river in the city. It started in the time of emperors Yongzheng and Qianlong (mid 18th century) in the Qing Dynasty. In the past 200 years, it has been famous for its gathering of shops and prosperity. Since the reform and opening up to the outside world, a few renovations have been carried out, making the street a window displaying modern commerce and economic prosperity of Jilin City. It has been awarded the titles of “National Civilized Pilot Street”, “national pilot street without fakes” and assured shopping street by competent government agencies.
