Fengman Hydropower Museum

The China Fengman Hydropower Museum, China’s first of its kind, is located at the foot of the Fengman Power Plant on the Songyua Lake in Jilin City. It exhibits the 70-year development history of the power plant, “mother of hydropower” in China.

The name of the China Fengman Hydro Museum was inscribed by former Premier of the State Council Li Peng. The museum, a two-storey building, has an area of more than 6,000 square meters. Exhibited in it are the tools and equipment that were used when building, renovating and expanding the power plant, Chinese and foreign hydropower relics, precious pictures about the Fengman Power Plant and the development of China’s hydropower undertakings.

With the theme of the development history of the Fengman Power Plant, it demonstrates, by means of text, picture, model and clay sculpture in combination with sound, light and electricity, the great achievements and development of China’s hydropower undertakings, which is represented by the Fengman Power Plant.
