Yehe Nara Town

China.org.cn

As the birthplace of Empress Xiaocigao, the mother of Huang Taiji, who founded the Qing Dynasty, and the ancestral village of Empress Dowager Cixi and Express Longyu during the late Qing Dynasty, Yehe Nara Town is known as the “hometown of three empresses”.

It covers a total area of 34,000 square meters, of which buildings occupy 8,000 square meters. The architectural complex is full of ancient beauty and unique ethnic characteristics, giving a representation of the splendid Yehe Nara history. The sculptures, photos, pictures and relics exhibited in the post station, assembly hall, princess building, folk art hall, and empress hall within the town demonstrate the history of Yehe Nara from different perspectives and thus deeply reflect the strong ethnic characteristics of Yehe Manchu ancestors.
