The Wunvfeng National Forest Park, about 21 kilometers away from Ji’an’s urban area, is one of the first 20 national demonstrative scenic parks. The park has 26 relatively larger peaks among which 17 are over 1,000 meters above the sea level. The park is notable for five towering, steep and beautiful peaks, which, legend has it, are collectively called the Five Girl Peaks (Wunvefeng in pinyin). Hence the park is called Wunvfeng.

The park is divided into 14 scenic sections, among which Guanfeng Deck, Koguryo Stone Pit, Five Girl Peaks, Dongtianhaoyue, Meirong Spring, Pine Sea of Lao Mountain and other six sections are open. There are altogether 56 natural and cultural attractions in the open sections. A natural fairyland is formed by steep mountains, lines of cliffs, staggered gullies and red maple leaves, attracting millions of tourists. As a famous scenic area in northeast China, the Five Girl Peaks chime in with Ji’an, a northeastern city known for its scenery typical of southeast China, with its unique natural scenery and overlapping mountains against the background of Changbai Mountain.
