Wulian Mountain Scenic Area (AAA-level Scenic Area)
- China.org.cn
The Wulian Mountain Scenic Area is a mountain-based tourist attraction blending buildings in the style of imperial temples in the Qing Dynasty into natural landscape, about 9 kilometers to the northeast of Meihekou City.
The scenic area features beautiful plum blossoms and distinctive temples against natural mountain and waters. Surrounded by mountains, the Longquan Temple in the center of Wulian Mountain faces Long Mountain to the east and Fengling Mountain to the west. The temples there are imposing enough to be considered as a large-scale temple group in northeast China. The Ten-thousand Buddha Pagoda erected on the top of Wulian Mountain follows the traditional design of Buddhist building by setting ladder inside while corridor outside. Moreover, the pagoda has nine floors in the shape of octagon with a combined height of 53 meters. The Longquan Temple embeds profound Buddhist culture and can be overlooked from Xiangyun Tower.
Uneven chains of mountains, five towering peaks, roundabout caves, babbling spring and burning incense indicate the constant coming and going of tourists and Buddhist disciples.
Address:About 9 kilometers to the northeast of Meihekou’s urban area.
