Changbai Korean Folk Village

The Changbai Korean Folk Village is about 3.5 kilometers to the east of Changbai County, occupying a position tourists must pass on their way to the Tianchi Lake of Changbai Mountain along the Yanjiang tourist highway. The year 2006 has seen the village rated as a National Demonstrative Spot for Agricultural Tourism by China National Tourism Administration.

Buildings in the village fully mirror the traditional customs and styles of the Korean ethic group by blending Korean culture, Changbai Mountain culture and Yalu River culture with the rural environment, pastoral scenery and urban life. Construction projects include dwellings, social welfare center, and exhibition halls for local customs and Korean culture. Horticultural projects include archway, scenic walls, rare stone garden, water system, square, cultural wall and sculptures.

The village serves as a place for recreation, exhibition, entertainment, dining, shopping and vacation-making through six separate areas including folk custom exhibition area, fitness and entertainment area, cultural exhibition area, food and shopping area, local service center and green ecological area.

Parking: There is a free parking lot able to accommodate 20 vehicles.

Transporation: The village is about 3.5 kilometers to the east of Changbai County, occupying a position tourists must pass on their way to the Tianchi Lake of Changbai Mountain along the Yanjiang tourist highway.

Self-driving:

West route: you can drive along Yanjiang Highway for about 140 kilometers eastward to Changbai County from Linjiang and drive the rest 3.5 kilometers eastward from the county seat.

East route: you can drive for 240 kilometers to Changbai County from Songjiang River and drive the rest 3.5 kilometers eastward from the seat of Changbai County.

Special tourist bus and public bus:

 You can hail a taxi to directly reach the scenic area at any time in the county seat. The price is negotiable. (Generally the cost to charter a taxi for a round trip is ranging from 20 to 30 yuan.)
