Liaoyuan Hongqi Grand Theatre

Liaoyuan Hongqi Grand Theatre, initially built in 1953, was formerly the Peking Opera House of Liaoyuan. It is now where the Liaoyuan Peking Opera Troupe (formerly the Luhan Opera Troupe) is headquartered. The theatre stages errenzhuan (two-people comedy kit) shows of northeast China and has recorded more than four hundred CDs on such shows. The theatre is wildly known in northeast China for many errenzhuan performers, such as Xiao Shen Yang, Liu Neng, Xie Guangkun, Yan Xuejing, Liu Yishui and Zhao Yanmei rose to fame here.
