The Fangchuan Korean Village is located in the south of the Fangchuan National Scenic Area, where the borders of China, Russia and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea converge. It is 59.3 kilometers away from downtown, and is called the “No.1 village in the east of China”. Former Party and State leaders, including Hu Jintao, Jiang Zemin, Li Peng, Zhu Rongji, Zou Jiahua, Liu Huaqing, etc have visited the village. There are 43 homes, totaling more than 100 people, in the village. All of them are Korean people, and its ethnic culture, traditions and ethnic characteristics are well protected. It is one of the few pure Korean villages in Jilin Province, and is also a good place to study the evolution of Korean ethnic cultures and traditions.
