Harzhuo Scenic Area in Zhenlai

Harzhuo Scenic Area is located in the east of Zhenlai County, Jilin Province, to the west of the Nenjiang River. It is a large freshwater lake in China with well conserved wetlands ecosystem and good-quality water. It is also one of the few unpolluted freshwater lakes in the world. Based on water resources from the Nenjiang River, Harzhuo has a natural fishing area of 120,000 mu. There are more than 30 kinds of fish in it, including siniperca chuatsi, pelteobagrus fulvidraco, carp, snakehead,catfish, Pengze crucian, gurnard, silver carp, bighead carp and grass carp. The annual output of fish is 600,000 kg. In the lake area, fish swims in water and birds fly in the sky. It is a good place for recreation, vacation, travel, sightseeing and escaping the hotness in summer. Harzhuo is the core area of the Momoge National Nature Reserve with dozens of kinds of A-level state protected birds such as red-crowned crane and white crane.

Entrance of the scenic area is 62 km from the Zhenlai section of the Qiqihar-Baicheng Highway.
