Bayi Lake, also known as Bayi Reservoir, is located in the east of Siping, 35 kilometers from the downtown. The lake is formed by six adjoining reservoirs. There is a mid-lake island in the area formed by No 1, 2 and 3 reservoirs. The No 3 reservoir is a spectacular sight of densely growing lotuses. Between the No. 3 and 4 reservoirs is a wetland, to the south of which is a semicircle open area surrounded by water on three sides. Between the No. 4 and 5 reservoirs is a highland, resembling a sitting camel with a big stomach and a small mouth. It is the highest point in the lake area. The dam of the No. 5 reservoir is connected with the Shenming Highway. The road on top of the dam surrounds the whole reservoir area.
