Yalu River Bamboo Raft Drifting

The Yalu River Bamboo Raft Drifting was developed in the 1990s. Rafts run from Liudaogou Town through Weishahe Town, Jiudaowan of Liushao to Linjiang and Dangshi. The enchanting scenery formed by mountains and rivers greets you along the 60-kilometer route. Besides wharves, mountains, stones, trees, and peaks on riversides also render arresting beauty. The bamboo raft sometimes rises up high and sometimes dives down, giving an alternating feeling of adventure and pleasure. Legends about scenic spots accompanying you along the route such as “Jump Depending on One Support”, “Roaring Tiger”, “Crying Children” and “Mother’s Call” plunge you into a sea of imagination and the romance and mystery of the nature.

Drifting can be played in three ways according to tourists’ preference, including cultural drifting (exotic culture) on Jiangxin Island, exciting drifting at the entrance of Sidaogou and adventurous drifting in Yanggeting of Liudaogou.
