Daxitai River Scenic Area

Daxitai River Scenic Area is a national AAA level scenic area, 5 km southeast to Huangsongpu Forest Farm, 9 km from the north entrance of the Changbai Mountain Scenic Area, and covers an area of 1797.97 hectares. The river originates from nine springs, whose water is crystal clear. The river runs through a misty valley bottom 20 meters high. There are several step-shaped waterfalls, measured three to five meters. There are shady ancient trees and thick plants beside the waterfalls. There are many rare trees in the scenic areas, such as pinus koraiensis, tilia amurensis, taxus chinensis, mountain ash, fraxinus mandshurica, as well as all kinds of fungus, wild fruits and herbaceous plants. The scenic area has the best-preserved primeval forest in Changbai Mountain.
