Changbai Mountain Valley Float Stone Forest

The Valley Float Stone Forest is a national AAAA-level scenic area and 6 km southeast to the entrance to the Changbai Mountain. It is located in a big rift valley, which was formed after volcanic eruption and crustal movements, and largely formed by floating stones, after which it is named. There used to be a 5 km long and 40 meters wide valley, which covers an area of 3.4 hectares. In 1199, the Changbai Mountain saw massive volcano eruptions, which formed special views. The scenic area is a must pass to travel Shuangmu Peak, China-North Korea Boundary Marker, Yuanchi Pond, Kimm Il Sung Fishing Terrace, etc. It is famous for its view’s beauty, uniqueness, riskiness and quietness, combing together original, ecological and natural beauties of peak, waterfall, rocks, hidden river, spring, forest, flower and grass. The landscape is marvelous. The valley is full of fantastic rock peaks, and unknown views. The Blank Stone Stele, Sitting Stone of Monk Fa Hai in Meditation and Tang Monk Chanting Sutras Peak add magic atmosphere.

The valley has springs, and the springs have water. The pond is not big but beautiful. The water is not deep but clear. The brook is not long but flowing. The mountain distinguishes itself because of water, and the water looks more beautiful because of mountains’ grandness. The natural views of the scenic area are impressive because of its mountains, water, grass, flower, road and bridge.
