Recreational and Vacational Tourist Festival of the Songhua Lake

Time: July to October

This is a large tourist festival based on the Songhua Lake and the natural and cultural resources of Jilin. It started in 2001, aiming to promote the city’s tourist economy and social development, enrich people’s summer life and demonstrate the theme of “returning to the nature with fitness and recreation” of the city in summer. The festival highlights the tourist brand of Songhua Lake as the“first lake choice for summer leisure” and builds image of Jilin as a tourist city. Cultural and tourist programs that have been held, such as “River City’s Falcon Commando Aerobatic Flight Demonstration”, The Same Song and The Appointment of Roses, have helped stimulated the city’s economic growth, achieved good social benefits and promoted the popularity of Jilin domestically and internationally.
