Chatiao Village, Shimen, Antu County

Chatiao Village is located in the crossing spot of Buerhatong River and Zhongping River. The village has 368 hectares of farmland, among which 261 hectares are dry farmland and 107 hectares are paddy field. The villages also contains 2,603 hectares of forest land (its forest coverage ratio is 60 percent), and 195 hectares of grassplot. Chatiao Village is made up of two natural villages, with 1,171 people of 336 families, among whom 576 are at their working age. The village has Han, Korean, and Manchu people. About 90 percent of the villagers are Korean, making the village a representative Korean community. The village’s major industries are: folk custom tourism, organic rice, specialty and edible mushrooms, etc.
