Yang Andi, director of Jilin tourism development commission, visited Vanke Songhua Lake Resort on October 11 to help work out a development strategy for the business to further evolve.
The 20-square-kilometer Vanke resort at the enchanting Songhua Lake scenic area has been viewed as the champion of the blossoming ice-snow industry in the northeastern province of Jilin, where chilling weather in winters present as an advantage in developing the industry.
The province issued a plan for upgrading the industry last year. According to the plan, the province aims to build world-class winter resort complexes and position itself as a strong player in winter sports.
Viewed as the champion of the ice-snow industry in Jilin, Vanke’s Lake Songhua Resort owns34 skiing courses and six high-speed lifts.
During the visit, Yang learned the resort’s plan for 2017-2018 winter season, including incentives and activities, and explored ideas of upgrading ice-snow industry in the province.
It is predicted that Jilin is to see a boom in ice-snow industry during the 2017-2018 winter season after year-long development in product diversification, services upgrading, and brand building.
During this period, the Vanke resort will increase 52,000 square meters of skiing area, and add family-friendly facilities, parks, night skiing amenities, hotels, and commercial quarters, expecting to receive 450,000 visitors.
