Tour guide training program launched in Jilin

A tour guide training program of ice and snow tourism attended by more than 150 people was launched on January 6, in Jilin city, northeast China's Jilin province.

The program, organized by the China National Tourism Administration, was designed to enhance the professional skills of Jilin's tour guides and increase the number of qualified tour guides, and expected to elevate the level of tourism service in Jilin. 

The content of the training includes sport of skiing in China, mass tourism, skating on ice and tourism effects, market analysis and trend predicting of ice and snow tourism, upgrading the skills and knowledge of tour guides, the origin of ice and snow culture and the trend of ice and snow tourism. 

Authorized by the provincial government and the China National Tourism Administration, the national ice and snow tourism talent base was set up in the province to foster competent tourism professionals in Jilin. The training program was the first one held in the base. Lecturers were carefully selected and curriculum and its schedule were meticulously set.

It is planned that 2,000 people will complete training this year in the base including ski coach training, and ski resort operation and management talent training.
