Jilin promotional fair held in Zhejiang

A promotional fair on Jilin's culture and tourism was held in the Zhejiang Exhibition Hall in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on June 10.

The event also marks the two provinces are further strengthening their cooperation in culture and tourism.

All major areas of Jilin, including Changchun, Tonghua, Yanbian, Siping, Baishan, Baicheng and Mountain Changbai, have introduced their cultural and tourism resources featuring soft rime in winter, fishing and hunting traditions and local folk and ethnic dancing.

Jilin is famous for its winter sceneries and cool weather in summer. In the fair, Jilin showcased its 25 tourist routes featuring ecology, natural views and comfortable weather.

Shi Yugang, deputy governor of Jilin, said that the province is an industrial base, commodity grain base and ecological screen of national importance.

He hoped that Zhejiang can deepen its collaboration with Jilin, for which the two provinces should roll out more favorable policies.

Cheng Yuechong, deputy governor of Zhejiang, echoed that Zhejiang will continuously deepen cooperation and exchanges with Jilin in institutions, industries, infrastructure facilities, innovation and talents.

He said the "poetic Zhejiang" and the "fabulous Jilin" can tap into their complementarity in resources and strengths for mutual benefits and win-win results.

Yang Andi, director of Jilin's cultural and tourism department, said Jilin locates in the core zone of the Northeast Asia, and cool summer and winter sports are two brands of Jilin tourism.

Jilin and Zhejiang launched their cooperation program three years ago, which has expanded from government to enterprises and public sectors.
