Jilin, Shigatse co-host tourism festival

The 17th Qomolangma Cultural Tourism Festival started in Shigatse, Tibet autonomous region, on June 18.
Themed "Happy Shigatse in a new era", the event is co-hosted by the Shigatse municipal government and the Jilin provincial government.
A motorcade made up of Red Flag HS5, a model of SUV built by the First Auto Work headquartered in Changchun, capital of Jilin, reached Shigatse on that day. The motorcade started off from Yanbian, Jilin province, on June 2. The motorcade procession is a warm-up and promotional activity of the cultural tourism festival.
In the opening ceremony of the festival, troupes from Shigatse and Jilin performed together.
The cultural and tourism festival consists of 36 activities, among which 24 are held in the main venue of Shigatse, and the other 12 in Jilin.
Among the activities are the 4th "Qomolangma Angel" Tourism Ambassadors Contest, the 2nd Qomolangma Food Festival, an exhibition of Jilin's ecological food and art performances from Jilin.
