The Jilin Provincial Department of Cultural and Tourism and short video platform Douyin.com jointly launched a short-video project to spread and promote the inheritance of Jinlin's intangible cultural heritages on July 5.

The first ten inheritors chosen for the project were awarded with certificates.

The project, which started in June and end in December this year, will select a batch of intangible cultural heritage inheritors in the province. They will be trained and encouraged to upload short videos on their skills on the Douyin.com, a popular communication platform, to enhance the influence of Jilin's cultural resources.

The first 10 partners chosen for the project are masters of opera, clay sculpture, straw plaiting, food making, costumes and artifacts. In addition to Douyin.com, Jilin's media outlets and the province's cultural and tourism department will also vigorously promote them.
