Forum focuses on ice and snow economy development

A forum on ice and snow economy was held in Changchun, Jilin province, on Dec. 13, on the sidelines of the 4^th Jilin Snow Expo.

The forum lasted a whole day with the morning section presided over by Zhang Zhijun, deputy governor of Jilin, and the afternoon section hosted by Yang Andi, director of the Jilin department of culture and tourism.

The participants of the forum included economists, experts on culture, tourism, finance and winter sports, and entrepreneurs from related industries.

They discussed various topics related to the development of an ice and snow economy in Jilin, including its future direction as well as the ways on how to turn ice and snow resources into products, on how ice and snow products can sustain the ice and snow industry, on how the ice and snow industry can meet market demands, and on how the ice and snow economy can bring out the vitality of the local economy.
