Jilin Provincial Cultural Center holds Spring Festival couplets, papercuts exhibition

As part of the initiative of the Publicity Department of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and the Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism to enrich local cultural life, an exhibition of Spring Festival couplets and papercuts, sponsored by the Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, opened at the Jilin Provincial Cultural Center recently.

Altogether 82 couplets, 32 well-written sentences and 56 papercuts were exhibited, all winning works of a same-theme contest that took place earlier.

Open to rural areas, schools, enterprises, public institutions and social organizations, the contest was entered by over 1,000 works.

The contest and exhibition were designed to give local residents a festival mood and encourage them to pass down traditional festivals and feel the charm of traditional Chinse culture.
