Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism issues call for green lifestyle on World Environment Day

The Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism issued a call for environmental protection and a green lifestyle on June 6, the 49^th World Environment Day.

The national theme for this year's World Environment Day was "Building a beautiful China, I am in".

In its call, the department urged the public to pay greater attention to ecological environmental protection.

It also called on the public to conserve energy and resources by adopting environmental-friendly living habits.

Besides, it promoted civilized tourist behaviors in the call to protect the ecological environment and cultural relics of A-5A-listed scenic areas.

The department also encouraged the public to take part in environmental protection activities and spread the ideas about environmental protection and ecological civilization.

In addition, the department urged the public to supervise the environmental protection work and report misconducts through designated channels.
