Jilin launches square culture activity

The Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Changchun City Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau launched the "Beautiful Jilin- A Summer Rich in Cultural Activities" provincial square culture activity in Changchun on July 15.

As an initiative designed to explore how to enrich the cultural life of local residents and promote Jilin when controlling the epidemic on an ongoing basis, the activity was also launched simultaneously elsewhere in Jilin.

The launching ceremony in Changchun featured an art performance consisting of 14 distinct programs from around the province, including square dance, long-drum dance, modern dance and solo. Over 5,000 people watched the performance on the spot while over 170,000 online.

Elsewhere in the province, launching ceremonies had some 60,000 on-the-spot audience and over 400,000 online.

More than 50 travel agencies took part in the activity. Nearly 20 media outlets covered the event.
