Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region held an activity to promote its cultural tourism resources and products in Changchun on July 15.

Wei Zhiguo, deputy head of the Inner Mongolia Department of Culture and Tourism, and Wang Shaojun, a class-II counsel of the Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, attended the activity together with other relevant officials and representatives of tourism businesses.

Officials of Hulunbeier city, Xing’an league, Tongliao city and Manchuria city, all administrative areas of Inner Mongolia, gave separate introductions about the tourism resources and routes of their respective localities.

The Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism played a video promoting Changchun and Jilin’s cultural tourism resources on the occasion.

In addition, Hulunbeier city, Xing’an league, Tongliao city and Manchuria city signed cooperation agreements with Changchun city, Jilin city, Baicheng City and Changbai Mountain Administrative Committee during the event.

Sixteen businesses of the two provincial regions also inked cooperation agreements on exchange of tourists and preferential deals.

As two neighbors that have cultural similarity, friendly people-to-people relations and distinct and complementary tourism resources, Jilin and Inner Mongolia have broad prospect for cooperation.

Besides, they are both members of the China Alliance for Ice and Snow Tourism Promotion, another plus for cooperation.

Wei Zhiguo expected the activity to lead to greater understanding and friendship between the tourism communities of the two provincial regions as well as enhanced cooperation on tourism route development, market expansion and regional synergy.

Wang Shaojun said that Jilin and Inner Mongolia reached broad consensus on cultural tourism cooperation and the event was fruitful and bound to drive the recovery and development of the two provincial regions’ tourism industries.
