The contest was hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and  attracted 286 projects.

The "Parents-children Librarians" program, as one of the programs standing out in the contest, was introduced to nationwide audience at the contest venue through a number of livestreaming platforms such as the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's public culture cloud service platform and Kuaishou.

Started in 2006, the program was an initiative of the Jilin Provincial Library to help teenagers to know about the work of libraries, learn to make good use of libraries, and develop a stronger sense of social responsibility by providing volunteer services at the library.

First known as "Little Librarians," the program was renamed "Parents-children Librarians" in 2016.

The library will recruit volunteers under the program for each summer and winter vacation. For weekends during school terms, it recruits in accordance with actual needs.

The program has not only helped improve service quality at the library but also helped bring parents and children closer togehter by offering them a good chance to increase communication.
