To mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Jilin is holding various mass singing activities across the province under a program of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism called "Sing a Folk Song to the Party."

Condering Jilin's cultural, geographical and ethic features, the Jilin Provincial Cultural Center has recommended a Korean ethnic song to represent Jilin on the national "Folk Song Map", an initiative launched under the ministry's program. The song expresses the joyfulness of the Yanbian people living in the new era and the resolve of the people of different ethnic groups working hard together to achieve the goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects under the Party's leadership.
