'Beautiful Jilin' exhibition held in Altay, Xinjiang

Sponsored by the departments of culture and tourism of Jilin and Xinjiang, an exhibition called "Beautiful Jilin" kicked off in Altay prefecture, Xinjiang on September 24.

The event was part of the Spring Rain Program, an initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Central Commission for Guiding Cultural and Ethical Progress for cultural volunteers to volunteer in border areas.

120 photos, displaying Jilin's cultural and natural sights as well as its folk customs, went on show.

The exhibition was expected to promote cultural exchanges between Jilin and Xinjiang, enhance their friendship and facilitate mutual learning and understanding among photographers of Jilin and Xinjiang.
