Final of Jilin Tourism Commodity Contest takes place

The final of the Jilin Tourism Commodity Contest kicked off on December 29. 204 commodities, selected from 360 entries, would compete in the final.

Sponsored by the Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the contest was designed to pool province-wide creative design resources to roll out desirable commodities and creative cultural products.

 

Winning designs would be exhibited online in the first half of January 2022.

 

Following the contest, experts and scholars will be invited to train Jilin's cultural and tourism industry professionals on tourism commodities and creative cultural products, including design, brand building and sales promotion.  

 

To encourage the development of tourism commodities, the Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism initiated the program of exhibiting and selling tourism commodities and creative cultural products in scenic areas. The province's first exhibition and sales center for quality local agricultural products opened at the Wanfeng Tonghua Ski Resort on December 18. Quality local products including Changbai Mountain ginseng and deer products, Tonghua wine, and Jilin rice will also enter the ten scenic areas piloting the program in the future.

 

All these efforts were aimed to stimulate cultural and tourism creativity, promote cultural and tourism integration and strengthen the brand, market and industry for tourism commodities and creative cultural products.
