The Jilin Provincial Library hosted a wide range of activities during the just concluded New Year holiday, attracting readers of varying age groups.

As 2022 is the year of tiger, storytelling about tiger and tiger painting as well as Spring Festival customs were enjoyed very much by children.

To promote fine traditional Chinese culture, the library also arranged activities for calligraphy lovers to display their calligraphy skills. One of the readers, who had just completed writing the character "虎 (tiger)",said,“Reading books and newspapers and taking part in other activities in the library is my biggest delight of a day. Many thanks to the library for serving as a spiritual home for us and organizing such colorful activities on the holiday.”

Colored painting of plaster tigers was another highlight. Participants all showed their bold and creative ideas on their works, creating different images of tigers, either lovely, naughty or fierce.

Many good books were also recommended as one of the holiday activities, covering various topics from literature to science.

In addition, there was a wish wall for readers to write down their New Year wishes.
