Jilin unveils 10 select rural tourism routes

The Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism recently rolled out ten select rural tourism routes.

The routes, involving key villages and rural tourism operators across the province, have diverse focuses including fruit picking, snow scenery watching, and folk culture experiencing.

The move represented the efforts Jilin had been making in recent years to vigorously develop rural tourism as an important part of its tourism plan and as an avenue to revitalize the rural areas. Thanks to the efforts, rural tourism in the province has continued to gain in popularity and manifest its growth potential. A five-pronged lineup of products has taken shape, namely ice and snow tourism, farming culture, ecotourism, harvest culture, and red tourism.
