Baishanhu Renyi Scenic Area

Known as “Lijiang River in North China”, the Baishan Lake Renyi Scenic Area covers 210 square kilometers among which the water surface takes up 90 square kilometers and land area occupies 120 square kilometers. As a national AAA-level scenic area, it is located in the upper reach of Songhua River about 20 kilometers from Jingyu County seat. The reservoir of Baishan Hydropower Station was formed by impounding the Songhua River by the station’s dam. The Baishan Lake runs around the mountain like a snake with a length of 90 kilometers, so it is called “Long (Dragon)” Lake. This area has not only engrossing scenery but also rich energy resources to be explored. Yuanyang Lake, Bailong Lake, islands of various sizes, nuclear power station, coal mines and other attractions will greet you one after another along your trip.

The reservoir has a normal storage capacity of 4.967 billion cubic meters and its present storage is 3.19 billion cubic meters. Four seasons here deliver their due scenery respectively. The Baishan Lake boasts arresting natural scenery and various kinds of wild Songhua River fish, attracting tourists from different places to come here for relaxing, sightseeing and fishing.

Ticket price:

30 yuan per adult, 15 yuan per student, 20% discount for member of a tourist group, in peak season (May 1 to October 30)

Opening time: All year around, from 8:00 to 17:00

Parking lot:

There are two parking lots able to accommodate 50 vehicles. They charge 10 yuan for large vehicles and 5 yuan for small ones.

Transportation:

The Baishan Lake Renyi Scenic Area is 20 kilometers from Jingyu County seat, 90 kilometers from Baishan Railway Station and 95 kilometers from Songjianghe Railway Station. Hotline: 0439-7224569

Self-driving:

West route: You can drive along Chaochang Highway eastward for 20 kilometers from Jingyu (pay attention to road signs).

East route: You can drive along Cahochang Highway from Songjianghe through Fusong County to the entrance of Huangfengshen Community in Jingyu County and then turn right for another 8 kilometers as instructed by the road signs until the core of the scenic area is reached.

Special tourist bus and public bus:

You can hail a taxi to directly reach the scenic area at any time in the county seat. The price is negotiable. (Generally the cost to charter a taxi for a round trip to the scenic area is ranging from 30 to 50 yuan.)
