Rime Island

The Rime Island is a natural river island in Hantun Village, Manchu Town, Wula Street in the Songhuajia River Basin. It was previously named “sleeping dragon island” or “pearl island”. Due to the beautiful and long-lasting tree rime, it has gradually become a famous place for photographers and became known as the “rime island”. Surrounded by the Songhuajiang River, it has a variety of birds and big ancient trees. The river runs all the year round with misty fog. In 2000, the Longrun Tourist Development Co. Ltd. of Jilin invested 3 million yuan and built the Manchu Folk Village on the Rime Island in Hantun Village of the Wula Street. With an area of 50 hectares, it is a big theme park with restaurant, accommodation, recreation, sightseeing and shopping services.
