Heishui water melon in Taonan

The Heishui water melon was once served at the State banquet in Zhongnanhai in the early 1970s. One hundred years ago, it was tribute to the royal family in the Qing Dynasty. It is big and has thin skin and crispy and mushy pulp. In 2000, Heshui water melon won the gold prize at the Beijing International Agricultural Food Exhibition. In 2001, it won the title of “Famous Product in Jilin”.
