Jilin Confucius Temple

Jilin Confucius Temple, 1 km from downtown Jilin, is located at 2 Nanchang Road, Changyi District of Jilin. The earliest Confucius Temple was approved by Emperor Qianlong in 1736 and started to be built in 1742 under the supervision of Wei Shimin, magistrate of Yongji Prefecture. The Confucius Temple that we see now was built in 1907. The temple is composed of palace halls, side rooms and walls. It is 221 meters long from north to south, 74 meters wide from east to west and 16,354 square meters in area.
